Dirk van Rees

My name is Dirk van Rees, I experienced paragliding for the first time in Aspen, Colorado, in 2001. I learned to fly in the Aspen area from many great instructors including Luis Rosenkjer. Over the years we began thinking about building a school in the Atlanta area. This dream finally became a reality in spring 2005, and since then we achieved the highest international standards of instruction and service. Luis has over 20 years of paragliding experience with no accidents, and over 17 years of paragliding instruction with more than 400 students and pilots assisting at his courses.
He also has over 600 tandem flights. He is a USHPA certified advanced paragliding Instructor, and also a Tandem Instructor, Instructor Administrator, Tandem Administrator and Surface Tow administrator. He has also been doing advanced clinics for certified para pilots over the past 14 years, organizing paragliding tours, Cross Country record chasing camps, and paragliding instructor clinics in several countries.
In addition to Luis' 17 years of experience teaching from beginners to advanced maneuvers, thermal flying and cross country clinics, he is a top competition pilot and author of many technical articles. Currently, Luis is the sole owner of the operation.
