Checking service includes several aspects such as:
• CLOTH CONDITION:
Including measurement of porosity, losing of color, condition of protective covering,
seams and repairs.
• LINES CONDITION:
Including measurement of lengths, control of sheath, seams and detection of damaged
lines.
• CONDITION OF BANDS.
• LENGTH AND SIMMETRY OF COMMANDS.
• INFLATION TESTS.
• OPERATION OF ACELERATION AND/OR TRIMMING SYSTEMS.
• FLYING TEST:
The evaluation is directed mainly to test paraglide behavior while leaving the
“B” stall –B bands- releasing in a slow and fast way. This information
is essential to detect changes in the original performance of the paraglide.
All this data is set down with full details and includes relevant observations
to allow each one to make a correct evaluation of the glider condition. At the
same time we make an estimation of paraglide airtime before a new checking is
necessary. |
