It is convenient because it is easy to carry, easy to setup, and easy to fly. When flying, you can actually soar like a bird, taking advantage of rising air in the form of thermals or ridge lift.

During the introduction day, you will start out by learning the basic theory of flight, learn how to handle the glider on the ground and then progressively get towed into the air several feet off of the ground. You can actually fly on your first day!

Our program to become a P-2 (novice) pilot, in order to be able to fly without supervision at most of USHPA's (United States Hang gliding and Paragliding Association) sanctioned sites, takes between 7 and 12 days. Our tow operation allows a VERY HIGH percentage of flyable time because we never have tail winds and we land at take off from flight #1. You can not turn around a hill, but we can move the tow rig to the other end of the field and continue teaching. Besides, the area we are located benefits with a very benign weather that allows us to teach all year long. How you spend those 7 to 12 days is absolutely flexible, but the most efficient way is to use a whole week. There are plenty lodging facilities only 8 miles away from our school starting at $35 per night, and Atlanta airport is only 1,5 hours away. Basic camping facilities are also available. We provide all the equipment during your training but you will get interesting discounts on our package if you buy it early and also if you finish your course in less than 30 or 60 days.
